Google just can’t stop info about its Pixel phones from leaking, can it? It happened several times last year ahead of the Pixel 3’s launch, and now, the latest news about the handset’s successor comes from, um, Google itself.

9to5Google noticed that the company accidentally listed its upcoming mid-range phone, the Pixel 3a, on its site last week. That indicates that the new device could launch real soon.

Both the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL – names that were confirmed in an Android Q listing –were listed on Google Play Developer console last week under codenames Sargo and Bonito. The listing on Google’s store site confirmed that the smaller variant will have a 5.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels, and the larger model will sport a 6-inch screen maxing out at 1080 x 2160 pixels; both phones will have a modest 4GB of RAM.

Earlier leaks have suggested that both devices are likely to be powered by a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, and will have a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front snapper. The devices will expectedly have e-SIM, squeezable “active edges”, and Titan-M security chip similar to the original Pixel 3.

My colleague Abhimanyu’s really excited for the smaller variant, because of its pocketable form factor. And I’m curious to see if the company can bring much-celebrated features of the Pixel 3’s cameras to these mid-range devices – without all the bugs that plagued last year’s model.

Give us a launch date already, Google.
