Type like your grandmother used to with this authentic typewriter simulator

While the advent of the personal computer has rendered the good old typewriter virtually defunct, the fascination with typewriters is still real.

If you’ve always wondered what it’s like to type on an actual typewriter, OverType will certainly satisfy your curiosity for the past – and probably finally kill your irrational nostalgia for this antiquated piece of tech.

Built by Ben Wheeler, it’s a Web-based simulator that emulates the experience of typing on an authentic manual typewriter.

In addition to this, the app makes it impossible to delete or edit your mistakes and – trust me – this will certainly force you to adjust your typing style accordingly.
