Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian’s book is now available for pre-order, and here’s the cover

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian has been working on his book for what feels like forever (at least in Internet years). Now, the book, “Without Their Permission: How the 21st Century Will Be Made, Not Managed,” is finally available for preorder on Amazon (for Kindle and hardcover), and will be released on October 1st.

Ohanian has provided us with a look at the book’s cover design, which is honestly quite impressive. If you’ve ever explored book design before, you’ll quickly notice that this cover breaks a major rule: there’s no title on it.

FINAL-COVER

According to Ohanian, the three icons represent the following:

  1. The old model where people needed someone’s permission for their ideas & innovations to spread.
  2. The transition happening thanks to the open internet and why it’s so important for us to insure everyone gets access and the skills to make the most of it.
  3. The power this gives us to take creative chances like the ones I describe in the book — whether it’s starting a company, philanthropy, funding an art project, or political activism.

The cover was designed by Oliver Munday with art direction by Liz Connor. Content from the book has yet to be shared, although according to the Amazon product page, here’s what you can expect:

In this book, Alexis will share his ideas, tips and even his own doodles about harnessing the power of the web for good, and along the way, he will share his philosophy with young entrepreneurs all over the globe.
