You can now add your Periscope account to your Twitter profile

Coming at one of the weirdest times ever to announce news — the start of a major Google event — Periscope announced further integration with its mother company Twitter.

In the box to the left (on desktop) you can now add your account by clicking ‘edit profile’ and ticking the box next to ‘Show my Periscope profile.’

When you go live on Periscope the link to your profile switches to a flashing indicator that links immediately to your current broadcast, so all your followers can join in.

Is this going to be enough for Periscope to win the fight with the massively popular Facebook Live? Probably not. But it’s a nice touch to bring Twitter’s companies together a bit more, and maybe see a small increase in growth.
